Through upcycling you give waste and rubbish a greater task by transforming its purpose into something more useful and valuable, but what is this ‘greater value’ and who decides the borders of greatness? Can these borders and rules also be upcycled or are they sacred?
Last summer I saved Lego, for most kids the toy closest to heaven. It made me question if it’s allowed to upcycle religious thoughts that millions of people desperately try to save from changing and transform them into something greater, something personal.
What a lady! Frau Ull had the most fantastic medieval haircut you have ever seen. covering her ears with a knot on the back of her head, also showing a little mustage. I bet she is a real though one. A tight woollen skirt and cardigan showed me the way.
The English teacher breathes frustration and disappointment, failed to hide it he would rather teach 16 something blonds in mini skirts.
What the fuck is Coworking? If you always work from home, like me in pyjamas having breakfast for diner, this is harder to understand let alone image.
So one day when I decided to leave home, for another reason then going to Liddle, I ended up in the Betahaus...a Coworking space. I got intrigued. I got even more excited when they asked me to design a flyer for the Berlin Coworking week. Anything I wanted. I was well up for that. The only thing was that it had to be done in a day, this was the hardest part- together with the drawing of a vomiting child I initially wanted to use and they were not so happy with.
From 13.9 till 19.9 is in Germany the National Coworking week: www.coworking.de The list of Berlin locations and events is almost complete... so part of the front and back of the flyer will stay a secret till after the Festival. Who needs it anyway when you have a lobster?
A lill explanation: All sorts of insects work, crawl and try to survive in the same environment, like on Karl-Marx Strasse. Some have jobs, other h4 and others have no real boss. These so-called "free-bugs" are not always able or happy to work from home...but dont have an office. Lobster (god of the workers) sets them free to discover new Coworking spaces. At the same time he thinks of his girlfriend Miss Lice... they always have wonderful networking phone calls. The Coworking structure has it's roots in the Berlin event agenda that start underneath.
The text below is quite out dated but I decided not to delete it, it's quite fun to see the change over time :)
I'm a self employed Trash Collector / Creative Value Coach and work, life and breath together with the wonderful people of Kulturlabor Trial & Error together with many other great communities like Open Design City and the ones you can read about in my posts ....
I collect trash -have quite a treasure- and beside this feel strongly about creating community projects where people get together, exchange their ideas and visions of how they would like to see their living environment develop in a more sustainable and social one and initiate practical projects.

Moved to Berlin April '08, learned German and did a 3 months intern ship at a museum for Children. Thanks to the project that sorted this out for me -Leonardo- I fell in love with the City and stayed....but not too long because I saw a new voluntary project coming up. Since January '09 I live in Romania, Bucharest and do an EVS at an organisation that's called Art-Fusion and that are specialized in Forum Theatre and street animation. Hoping to get good in at least one of them :)
Besides this I'm long distance working for Panfu, a virtual play and learn world for kids on the internet for which I do translation and support for their Dutch site. Check it out,but watch out...it is addictive to be a Panda www.panfu.nl
Ehh, back in Berlin again since September '09....it's getting a bit complicated to explain where home is.
Hope you enjoy reading my blog. Please don't hesitate to respond.
